Motion video for products and services

Boring made beautiful.

Your product is great. It's just hard to show. Motion video shows the parts a camera can't reach, so buyers finally see what makes it good. Built from your catalogue and spec sheets, with no crew and no shoot day.

  • No shoot day
  • You sign off before anything is built
  • Fixed price, paid once
Eight parts, one assembly. A teardown for Corlath Hydraulics, a demo brand with illustrative data. Not a real product. Not associated with any real brand.

The problem

Great products. Really hard to show.

  1. 01

    The good part is inside

You can't point a camera inside a gear pump. So nobody ever sees the bit that makes it good.

  2. 02

    Services have nothing to film

No object, no shoot. So most service firms just skip video altogether.

  3. 03

    No middle ground

It's a brochure and a website, or $20,000 to $30,000 for an agency and a film crew. Not much in between.

This isn't about making fancy videos. It's a real chance to show buyers what your competitors can't, before they work out how.

A note from Paul

I've spent more than 15 years in marketing, branding and manufacturing, and I've made, branded and sold my own physical products. So I know how hard it is to make a technical product look as good as it actually is.

Skincare brands can spend $20,000 to $30,000 on a big agency. Industrial, manufacturing and commercial companies usually get a brochure and a fact sheet. Motion video changes that, and I think the companies that move early will be very hard to catch.

The demos

Here's what it looks like

Every demo is for a fictional business, with illustrative products and figures, built the same way as a paid video. Not a real product. Not associated with any real brand.

Ads15 second spotDemo brand

Duty point on the curve

A 15 second ad that checks the buyer's flow and head against the pump's own curve. Built for YouTube, Performance Max, Meta and Reels.

Delivered in 16:9 and 9:16. Gildersby Pumps is fictional, and every product and figure is illustrative.

ExplainerTeardownDemo brand

Built layer by layer

A Teardown that builds a hydraulic hose from the core out, one layer at a time, so the buyer sees what a photo of the outside never shows.

Delivered in 16:9 and 9:16. Corlath Hydraulics is fictional, and every product and figure is illustrative.

Where they work

One video. A lot of jobs.

Some people love reading the manual. Plenty of others need to see it before it clicks, and in technical sales nobody wants to admit they didn't follow. A motion video covers both. Keep the fact sheet, and add the picture.

  • Product pages

Show how it works right where people buy.

  • The silent salesman

Your website explaining the product while you sleep.

  • Staff training

Induction and product training that new starters actually remember.

  • Distributors and resellers

Give your network the same clear explanation you'd give.

  • Sales meetings

Pull it up on the iPad in the client's office instead of waving your hands about.

  • Trade shows

A looping screen on the stand that stops people walking past.

  • Product launches

Show what's new and why it matters from day one.

  • In store

Looping on an iPad or screen beside the product on the shelf.

  • Manuals and fact sheets

The visual version sitting next to the technical detail.

  • Sales bots and chat

Drop the video into an answer when someone asks how it works.

  • Ads

YouTube, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Meta and Reels all want video.

  • Tenders and proposals

Make the method clear before anyone has to ask.

How it works

Made from your material, not from a shoot

  1. Step 1

    You send what you've got

Catalogue, spec sheets, photos, logo and the claims you stand behind. Uploaded through a private portal.

  2. Step 2

    We write the script

Hooks, calls to action and copy, with every line traced back to a claim you approved. Nothing is made up.

  3. Step 3

    You sign it off

Want something changed? No problem. Nothing gets built until you're happy with the script and storyboard.

  4. Step 4

    Built, scored, delivered

Every size, yours to keep, for the website, the sales team, the trade show and the ads. Showcase and Flagship are uploaded and linked for you.

FAQ

Questions before you order

Choosing

Ads or an explainer, which do I need?

Ads are 15 seconds and built to stop the scroll on YouTube, Performance Max, Meta and Reels. They suit businesses running ads or about to. An explainer runs 15 to 60 seconds and shows how a product works, for your website, sales decks, trade shows and LinkedIn. If you are not sure, book a call.

Where can we use the videos, apart from ads?

Pretty much anywhere you explain your product: product pages, staff training, distributor and reseller packs, sales meetings, trade show screens, launches, in-store iPads, beside your manuals and fact sheets, and inside a website chat or sales bot. The files are yours to use however you like.

What are the demo brands?

Every video on this page is for a fictional business, with illustrative products and figures, built the same way as a paid video. Client work stays private unless a client says otherwise. Not a real product. Not associated with any real brand.

Is the video made with AI?

The motion is code-drawn: built in a video engine from your own artwork, photos and brand. AI helps draft the script, and every line is checked against your claims sheet and approved by you before it goes on screen.

Can you add a voiceover?

Not in these packages. They are designed to work with the sound off, with music and sound design for when it is on.

Does a video guarantee results?

No. A good video gives your product a clear explanation and a strong opening. How many people see it, and what they do next, depends on your offer, your market and where it runs. We do not promise views, leads or sales.

Process and timing

How long does it take?

Ads take 7 to 10 business days from a complete intake. Express is guaranteed at 3 to 5 business days for 50% more, on Showcase and Flagship, with a capped number of Express slots each week. If we miss an Express date, the Express fee comes back. Explainers have a 10 business day target. Your review time is added on top, and the clock starts once the order is paid and the intake is in.

What do you need from us?

Your logo (vector if you have it), images and photos, the product or service the video is about, the claims you can stand behind, and a few answers about how you sound. For ads, your offer and three proof points. The portal walks you through it.

What if we want changes?

You sign off the storyboard before any motion is built. Spotlight and Spot include one revision round, Flagship includes three, and every other package includes two. A round is one list of changes inside the signed-off storyboard. A new idea, script, size or length is quoted separately before any work on it.

Do you upload to YouTube for us?

Yes, with Showcase and Flagship. You keep ownership of the channel and add us as an Editor. We write the titles, descriptions and tags, add the thumbnails, set the AI disclosure, upload, and link the channel to your Google Ads account.

What is the free Google Ads audit?

Showcase and Flagship include a one-off review of your Google Ads account, with written findings. It is a review only. It does not include managing or changing the account.

Ownership and payment

Who owns the finished video?

Once it is paid in full, the finished video files and thumbnails are yours, for any channel. We keep the code, templates, engine and music, licensed for use in your videos. We only show your video in our portfolio with your written consent.

Where are the videos hosted?

On your own YouTube channel or website. You get the finished files to keep. Nothing is hosted on this site.

Can we pay on a purchase order?

Yes. Request an invoice from the packages section. It arrives from Stripe, is due in 7 days, and work starts when it is paid.

We are outside Australia. Can we order?

Yes. Prices are in AUD, and GST is added only for businesses based in Australia. Your bank converts the amount when you pay by card.

Free builds

Apply for a free build

Each episode of the series is a boring product, built in motion. Two free builds a month go to real businesses whose own product fits the series. If yours is chosen, it becomes that day’s build, and you get the 9:16 cut free with our mark on it. Places are limited, so not every good fit can be chosen.

Your product is a good fit if it is

  • Hand-held. Roughly 3 to 60 cm, something you pick up and inspect. Not a building, a site, a vehicle or a platform.
  • Moving inside. One input, such as pressure, a turn or a pull, drives hidden parts to a result you can show in a cutaway.
  • Measured. At least five real published specs, such as sizes, threads or pressures, on a spec sheet or drawing.
  • Engineered. Machined metal, threads, seals, springs and fasteners that reward a close look.
  • Industrial or trade. Used by tradespeople, engineers, mining or manufacturing. Not household or garden, not a service, not electronics alone.
  • Yours. You make or sell it, and you can agree in writing to it being shown with your name.

Selection is our choice. The story is always the mechanism, never a rating or a certification, and some product categories are excluded. Clean masters and other sizes are available through the Explainer packages.
