Motion video service terms
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms apply when you order motion video through paulsaunders.ai/video. The seller is Retro River Pty Ltd (ABN 93 140 139 055), the company through which Paul Saunders provides his services. “I” and “me” means Retro River Pty Ltd. “You” means the business placing the order. Version: 2026-10-22.
You accept these terms by ticking the box when you pay by card or when you request an invoice. The version shown on your order is the one that applies to it.
1. The service
Each package covers one product or service you name at intake, made into code-drawn motion video:
- Spotlight: one 15 second ad in three sizes, in 9:16, 1:1, 16:9 (3 video files), one revision round, $1,490 AUD ex GST ($1,639 incl. GST).
- Showcase: three 15 second ads, each in three sizes, in 9:16, 1:1, 16:9 (9 video files), 2 revision rounds, thumbnails, upload to your YouTube channel and linking it to your Google Ads account, a free Google Ads audit, $2,490 AUD ex GST ($2,739 incl. GST).
- Flagship: five 15 second ads, each in three sizes, in 9:16, 1:1, 16:9 (15 video files), 3 revision rounds, thumbnails, upload to your YouTube channel and linking it to your Google Ads account, a free Google Ads audit, $3,990 AUD ex GST ($4,389 incl. GST).
- Spot: one 15 second video, in One size of your choice, one revision round, $1,490 AUD ex GST ($1,639 incl. GST).
- Feature: one 60 second video, in 16:9, 9:16, 2 revision rounds, $3,490 AUD ex GST ($3,839 incl. GST).
- Full set: a 60 second video with 30 and 15 second cuts, in 16:9, 9:16, 4:5, 2 revision rounds, $4,950 AUD ex GST ($5,445 incl. GST).
Every package includes a script and claims sheet written from your material, a storyboard for your sign-off, and licensed production music and sound design. Packages do not include a voiceover, filming, or products and services other than the one you name at intake. Hook variants are different opening lines tested across the concepts in a package.
The videos are made with software, code and AI tools, and I review every frame before it reaches you. I may use contractors and software services to help deliver the work, and I remain responsible for it.
2. Price, payment and GST
- Prices are in Australian dollars. Each price is shown excluding GST and including 10% GST.
- Businesses based in Australia pay 10% GST. Supplies to businesses based outside Australia are GST-free where the law allows. You must tell me accurately where your business is based.
- Payment is in full before any work starts. Card payments are processed by Stripe.
- If you ask for an invoice, it is due within 7 days, and work starts when it is paid.
- You receive a tax invoice showing the amount paid.
- If you pay in another currency, your bank or card provider converts the amount and may charge a fee.
3. What you supply
Through the intake form in your portal you supply the details of the product or service, a vector logo (SVG, AI, EPS or PDF), images and photos, the claims you want to make (for ads, your proof points and offer), and answers about your brand and tone. You confirm that:
- you hold the rights to everything you supply, including logos, trade marks, photos and brand fonts, or have permission to use it in the video
- the product details, specifications and claims you give are accurate and lawful
- you approve every claim that appears on screen before the video is finalised
I write standards as “manufactured to” a standard. I do not state that a product is compliant or certified unless you supply evidence and approve the wording. Health, legal and financial services have their own advertising rules. I draft to them, and you remain responsible for confirming every claim is one your business may make.
If a third party makes a claim against me because material you supplied infringes their rights, or because a claim you approved is false, you will cover my reasonable costs of that third-party claim. This does not apply to anything I added without your approval.
4. Timing
The target is 7 to 10 business days for ads packages and 10 business days for explainers, from the later of payment and a complete intake. Business days exclude weekends and the close from 24 December to 4 January. The time you take to review the storyboard and the video is added to the target. A target date does not limit your right under the Australian Consumer Law to have services supplied within a reasonable time.
5. Express
Express is available on the Showcase and Flagship for 50% more. Express delivery is guaranteed within 5 business days on the same basis: from the later of payment and a complete intake, with your review time added. Express slots are capped each week, and checkout only offers Express while one is free.
If I miss the Express date for reasons on my side, I refund the Express fee (the 50% added for Express). The rest of the package price stands, and the work is completed. To claim, email hello@paulsaunders.ai with your order number within 30 days of the missed date. I refund to your original payment method within 10 business days, and I bear any cost of processing the claim. This refund is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
The Express guarantee is given by Retro River Pty Ltd, registered office 4/100 Hay St, Subiaco WA 6008, phone 0448 817 445, email hello@paulsaunders.ai.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
- to cancel your service contract with us; and
- to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
6. Reviews and revisions
- You review the storyboard, with every line of on-screen copy, and sign it off before motion starts.
- You then review the videos and may ask for the revision rounds in your package: one for Spotlight and Spot, three for Flagship, and two for every other package.
- A revision round is one consolidated list of changes inside the approved storyboard, such as copy, timing, colour, swapping an image or the call to action.
- A new concept, new beats, a new script, or a new size or length is not a revision. I quote it as a change before any work on it, and the same applies to rounds beyond those in your package.
- If I have not heard from you within 10 business days of sending a review, I email a reminder that names the date the version will be treated as approved. If I still have not heard from you within 20 business days of the review, that version is approved and I complete the order.
The sign-off guarantee
You sign off the script, the claims sheet and the storyboard before any motion is built. If a finished video does not match what you signed off, tell me within 14 days of delivery and I will fix it at no cost. A fix under this guarantee does not use up a revision round.
If I cannot fix it within 10 business days of you telling me, I refund the price of that video. The price of a video is the package price you paid divided by the number of video files in the package. I refund to your original payment method within 10 business days, and I bear any cost of processing the claim.
To claim, email hello@paulsaunders.ai with your order number and what does not match. The guarantee covers a difference from what you signed off. It does not cover changes to the signed-off script, claims or storyboard, which section 6 deals with, and it does not promise views, leads or sales. This guarantee is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
The sign-off guarantee is given by Retro River Pty Ltd, registered office 4/100 Hay St, Subiaco WA 6008, phone 0448 817 445, email hello@paulsaunders.ai.

7. The YouTube handover
The Showcase and Flagship include uploading the videos to your YouTube channel and linking it to your Google Ads account.
- The channel stays yours, on your own Google account. You add me with the Editor role. I never ask for your password.
- Only the channel owner can verify the channel with YouTube. Until it is verified, custom thumbnails and clickable links may not be available, and YouTube limits how many videos a new channel can upload each day. Uploads are planned around those limits, and the time they add is outside the delivery target.
- I set YouTube’s AI use disclosure on each upload according to its content, and write titles, descriptions and tags from your approved claims.
- Linking needs approval from whoever administers your Google Ads account. Adding the videos to a campaign, and running and paying for that campaign, are not part of the service.
- YouTube and Google decide what they accept and show. I do not control their review or approval.
- The free Google Ads audit is a one-off review of your account with written findings. It needs read access to the account, which you grant. It does not include managing or changing the account.
8. Copyright and licences
- When the order is paid in full, I assign to you the copyright in the final videos and thumbnails I deliver. You may use them on any channel, in any medium, for as long as you like.
- I keep the code, templates, video engine, motion systems and project files used to make them. You have a permanent licence to use them as part of the delivered videos. Source files and code are not delivered.
- Third-party material in the videos, such as music and fonts, is licensed to you, not assigned, and only for use as part of the videos.
Music
The videos contain licensed production music. You may use it only as part of the videos. You may not extract it, use it on its own, register it with any content-identification system such as YouTube Content ID, or use it in a political context. I supply the licence certificate for each track. If a track in your video receives a copyright claim, I help you clear it, and if it cannot be cleared I replace the track at no charge.
Fonts
Fonts are rendered into the videos. You receive no licence to use a font outside the videos. Brand fonts you supply are yours to license.
Moral rights
Paul Saunders, as the individual who directs and produces the videos, consents to you, and anyone you authorise, doing any of the following with the delivered videos and thumbnails: editing, cutting, cropping, resizing, re-timing, translating, adding or removing text, images and music, combining them with other material, and publishing them without naming him as the author.
Portfolio
I may show your video in my portfolio and social posts only with your written consent, which you can give at intake or by email. You can withdraw that consent for future use at any time.
9. Cancellations and refunds
- Cancel before storyboard work starts: a full refund.
- Cancel after the storyboard is delivered and before you sign it off: a 50% refund.
- After you sign off the storyboard, there is no refund for a change of mind.
These change of mind terms do not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If the service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy whatever stage the order has reached.
10. Ending an order
- Either of us may end an order by email if the other commits a material breach of these terms and does not fix it within 10 business days of being told. If I am the one in breach, I refund the price of any work not yet delivered.
- If you have not completed the intake within 60 days of payment, I may end the order and refund the price less the value of any work already done.
11. Delays outside my control
I am not responsible for a delay caused by something outside my reasonable control, such as illness, a power or internet outage, or a change or outage at YouTube, Google or another platform. I will tell you promptly and keep you updated. If the delay lasts more than 20 business days, either of us may end the order and I refund the price of any work not yet delivered.
12. Results
I make the video to the approved storyboard. I do not promise any particular result from using it, such as views, leads, sales or advertising performance.
13. Australian Consumer Law and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where the Australian Consumer Law allows, my liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to supplying the services again, or paying the cost of having them supplied again. For any other claim, and to the extent the law allows, my total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
14. Confidentiality
I keep the information you share for an order confidential, including unreleased products, and use it only to deliver the order. This does not apply to information that is already public, to the videos once you publish them, or where the law requires disclosure.
15. Privacy
How I handle what you share is set out in the privacy policy.
16. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms. A new version applies only to orders placed after it is published. Your order stays on the version you accepted.
17. General
- These terms, your order details and the approved storyboard are the whole agreement between us for an order.
- Notices under these terms are given by email, to hello@paulsaunders.ai for me and to the address on your order for you.
- If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- Neither of us may transfer an order to someone else without the other’s written agreement.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and the courts of Western Australia have jurisdiction. If your business is outside Australia, you may also have rights under your local law that cannot be excluded.
